Your local club

Meet your local running club

We run in Bishop’s Cleeve and the nearby villages. Some of us are learning to run, some are training for races, and plenty just enjoy getting out with other people.

Who you’ll meet

When you turn up in Cleeve, you’ll usually be greeted by one of our local run leaders: Terry, Alice, Eleanor, Andy, Nick or Ryan.

We meet for intervals on Mondays and group runs on Wednesdays. There’s a plan for the evening, and someone to ask if you’re unsure which group to join.

You don’t need to bring a friend or already know anyone here. Let the leader know you’re new so we can help you settle in.

You don’t need a race entry or a personal-best target. Enjoying the run and the company is reason enough.

Running with us

Which group would you enjoy?

A supported beginning

Our beginner groups start with walking and gentle jogging. If you cannot yet run continuously for around 30 minutes, or are unsure, this is a welcoming place to start.

Purposeful group sessions

If you already run for around 30 minutes, join our intervals and group runs. We’ll help you choose a group you can enjoy running with.

More places to run

Your regular membership includes Cheltenham sessions too. Saturday Adventure Runs take us onto the trails, with separate arrangements for each outing.

Our coaching

Conor puts the sessions together

Conor Graham founded the club and is our Head Coach. He works full-time as a running coach and puts the sessions together, alongside our local leaders.

There’s thought behind what we do each week, but a club evening is still relaxed. Ask us why we’re doing a session, or which group to try.

Bishop’s Cleeve Running Club is part of Cheltenham Running & Walking Club. We share the coaching and regular sessions, so you have more places and days to run.

Our approach

You don’t have to work it out alone

Start where you are

We help you choose a suitable session and pace. You do not need to understand group names or work out your starting point alone.

A regular evening out

Having a time and a place to meet can make it easier to keep running, even when the rest of the week is busy.

Make it your own

You might want to run further, get ready for a race or just get out more often. Tell us what matters to you.

Part of something bigger

Run in Cleeve and Cheltenham

Your club membership includes regular Cheltenham Running Club group sessions at no extra cost. More days and locations help you build a routine around your life.

Each trial covers the sessions listed with it: the Beginner Trial covers available beginner sessions in Bishop’s Cleeve and Cheltenham; Basic and Premium Runner Trials cover suitable CRWC group sessions in both locations. Separate coaching and event offers have their own terms.

Once your trial or membership starts, MyCRWC is where you’ll find your current sessions, routes and account.
