CRWC Adventure runners together on a muddy countryside trail at Aggs Hill

Saturday Adventure Runs

Take the scenic route together.

Get out onto the trails with a group and a leader who knows the route. We run across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, stopping to regroup along the way.

A different kind of Saturday

A Saturday out on the trails

Leave your usual pavements for a morning on the trails. There might be a muddy climb or a hilltop view, with time to catch your breath when we regroup.

Club leaders guide the routes, with different distances and groups advertised for each outing. Regrouping gives you time to take in the view and enjoy running together.

These trail outings suit runners ready for the advertised distance and terrain. They are separate from a beginner walk–jog session. If you are unsure where you fit, register your interest and ask the club for guidance.

The experience

What a Saturday can look like

Meet and hear the plan

Meet the group and hear the leader’s plan for the route before setting off.

Explore with your group

Follow a led route through changing scenery, with stops to regroup and share the views.

Stay for a catch-up

Where the outing allows, enjoy an optional coffee or social afterwards. You are welcome to enjoy the run and head home too.

Beyond the familiar

Places to explore

Our Adventure Runs take us all over the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire. Locations change throughout the year, giving you the chance to discover new trails, hills, villages and countryside with the group.

Broadway & Bredon Hill

Village paths, hill trails and the chance to see familiar places from a different perspective.

Leckhampton & Aggs Hill

Explore the hills and countryside around Cheltenham with your group.

Winchcombe & Forest of Dean

From Cotswold countryside to woodland trails, there is plenty of variety.

These are examples, rather than a fixed itinerary. Check each outing for its date, meeting point, groups and distances.

Before you come

Is this run right for me?

Check the distance and terrain for the outing you’re interested in. These are trail runs for people ready for that route, rather than beginner walk–jog sessions.

Tell us about your running in the form below and ask us if you’re unsure. For regular club nights, you can also try our three-week Runner Trials.

Prefer a short local outing? At Cleevelands Free 5K, you can walk, jog or run one lap or two. It’s free and untimed, with no account needed.
